Sentence order

Unread post by Imaski »

Morning!

Can you check out this sentence and give me your opinion on word order? :

'I will tell you the story at school tomorrow'.

Is it too bad if you write ' I will tell you the story tomorrow at school' ? How solid is the rule https://www.ego4u.com/en/cram-up/gramma ... r/positive.

Thanks for your help! ;-)

As a general rule, place precedes time; but there is nothing grammatically wrong with your second example and it may make perfect sense in context depending on what you wish to emphasize.
