trust in versus trust on

hi! i'm new member. Could you tell me which one of the following is correct? trust on or trust in?

Generally speaking we trust or trust in someone.

I'm assuming you are using "trust" as a verb. Without you giving some context (ie the words in a sentence or paragraph) it's hard to say much more.

As a noun trust can come with between "trust between nations" or in "I put my trust in you and you let me down."
When it comes to a verb, you can use it without a preposition "I know I can trust him", or put either to ("I stumbled in the dark, trusting to luck to find the right door") or with ("I'd trust her with my life").

It is an uncountable noun. Your trust in someone is your belief that they are honest and sincere and will not deliberately do anything to harm you.
He destroyed me and my trust in men.
Trust works as a verb (used with object).To have trust or confidence in; rely or depend on.
