It's difficult to know which know which TEFL or TESOL course will be recognised by employers, as there are so many of them. A lot of employers will not accept online courses, and most certainly there must be a certain amount of hours of observed by an examiner in actually teaching within a classroom. Most certainly have a search through the masses of jobs on offer throughout the internet, and check to see what they are specifically asking for. Many ask for Cambridge CELTA or equivalent, but what is equivalent?

Perhaps this news article will help http://www.theguardian.com/education/2004/dec/13/tefl
