Hi,

I'm about to decide on which TESOL course to do and I need to ask a quick question.

Do you think Chinese schools, universities etc. would prefer several months to a year's experience (because of a job guarantee) or a higher quality TESOL degree?

This might be a dumb question, but I'm trying to check everything.

Qualifications:
- Hold a TEFL certificate
- Hold a university bachelor degree
- Be a native speaker of English
- Minimum 2-years’ teaching experience
- Have a reasonable level of comfort with technology
- Be at least 24 years of age (Shanghai Province visa law requirement)

These are very important for you to find a good job in the university or some language organizations.

I second what luffychen has written. The difference between Shanghai and where my school is located, Ma'anshan, Anhui province, is that the minimum 2-years' teaching experience is not required here, just native speaker, certain nationalities whose official language is English, a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL cert or CELTA, and a bachelor's degree.
