I often get confused between the Present Perfect and the Present Continuous Tense. Your explanation about the relevance to the present really helps. Do you have any tips on when to choose one over the other?

Sure!

- Present Perfect: Focus on the result (I have finished).
- Present Continuous: Focus on the action in progress (I am finishing).

Quick test:
- Done? → Present Perfect
- Happening now? → Present Continuous
