Business invitation format

Our company is writing an invitation for a business event as follows:

Invitation

You are cordially invited to attend our annual gala dinner on (date) at (time) at (address). We look forward to receiving your favourable reply before (date).

XXX Company
(writing date)

Is it OK to put the writing date after the sender name and at the bottom of the invitation?

If it is an invitation via email, you don't need to write the date as the email has a time stamp.

Usually only official documents that require a signature have the date written beside the signee. So in this case, I don't think it is required as it is only an invitation.
