placement of "expensive food" and "a few times"

Post by ansonman »

I have made up the sentences below.

(1) Jack was very generous. During his short visit, he offered some people expensive food a few times who worked with him on a major business project.

(2) Jack was very generous. During his short visit, he offered some people expensive food who worked with him on a major business project a few times.

I don't know where to put "food a few times" correctly in the sentence. Please help me. Thank you.

Rather than either of these versions, I would suggest for the sake of clarity:
-->
During his short visit, he offered expensive food a few times to some people who had worked with him on a major business project.
