I have never really been confident with my punctuation. I usually take the easy way out after I write an article and get it checked by someone who knows. Can anyone set me on the right track.

English punctuation rules aren't difficult really - if you know the basics, you'll be fluent in it. The most numerous rules are applied to comma use, I suppose.
