I wonder why haven't I found any "hobby related" post in favor of SEO. In case, you don't know what it is, then let me give a brief explanation about it.

SEO is known for search engine optimization. The websites that you see on the top of the search engines page are because of some specific factors. In order to bring your website on the top, you need to fulfill these specific factors and managing all of it is termed as SEO.

I spend most of my time in this hobby. Let's see if it excites any of you.

Interesting. But I would like to know where you operate your search engine so that you can achieve this goal. As far as I know, in my homeland China google is not a choice for us due to many reasons, other search engines would rank their results according to the money they receive from the sponsor or the host of the result. For example, there was an infamous incident about a student named Wei Zexi, who lost his life as a result of being deceived by the fake results of best hospitals available to treat his disease he found on China's search engine Baidu. Those "best" hospitals are all payers of big ad fees to this search engine to make their name rank at the top. Maybe China and the rest of the world are so different.

It is quite sad to learn how inefficient results can create problems for the end users.
However, I won't be operating the search engine. SEO relates to the optimization of websites so that they appear as the top results on the search engine. At the moment, I can optimize websites for Google and Bing.

For example, if you own a furniture store and want to be reached by most of the people searching for the best furniture store, then the role of SEO is to make the website efficient enough to be considered for the top position on the search engine.
