Are these sentences correct:
1) When someone tells one to do something one doesn't want to do, one is not happy.
2) One who knew him well told me that.
(instead of: "Someone who knew him well told me that.")
3) I asked one who knew him well.
(instead of: "I asked someone who knew him well.")
In "1" "one" is generic. it could be anyone.
In '2' and '3' 'one' means 'someone'/
Gratefully,
