what I am

Post by navit »

-Are you mad?
-What I am is working very hard to make peace with my enemies.

Is the second sentence correct in this context?

Gratefully,

Except in humorously informal speech, this kind of locution is not acceptable. (For formal purposes, the complement of 'am' here should be a noun or adjective).
