you every day

Post by azz »

-Who used to talk about that silly movie?
-It was you every day!

The second sentence is supposed to mean: It was you who talked about it, and you talked about it every day.

Is the sentence correct in that context?

I think it is acceptable in informal English, but not in formal English.

Many thanks.

Informally acceptable with comma after 'you'.
