once a month

Post by azz »

a. He suggested that we Skype once every month, which we were doing in the last two weeks.

Is that sentence grammatically correct and meaningful?

Someone wrote something like that to me in a letter. Obviously she meant that we Skyped in the last two weeks and not that we Skyped once a month in the last two weeks. But I don't think the sentence works, precisely because it seems to be saying that we Skyping once a month in the last two weeks.

I think this one might work

b. He suggested that once every month we Skype, which we were doing in the last two weeks.

Does it?

Many thanks

Yes, your suggested version seems clearer.
