[come to our country and work here] vs [come to our country to work]

Post by ansonman »

(1) Many people like to come to our country and live here. (my friends' version)

(2) Many people like to come to our country to live. (my version)

My friends are not native English speakers. They think their version (1) is correct. Is my version (2) wrong? Thank you very much.

Both are possible and correct.
