Naming superlatives (?)

Post by rotan »

Don't know if I got the subject correct, but what I want to ask is which option is correct (and if both are, which one is better):

1. This is the best and the most efficient way to use it.
2. This is the best and most efficient way to use it.

Both are possible and correct. #2 is more common. #1 might be used to emphasize the efficiency, or at least to give "the most efficient" the same weight as "the best".
