Run up

Post by nambeo »

Dear Teachers,

1) Run up against.

- What does this mean?

2) The problem was soon behind him.

- This means " the problem was soon defeated by him", right?

3) He's busy with his cooking.

- This means " He busies himself with his cooking", right?

4) They're quite shaken up at the accident.

- What does this mean?

Thanks very much.

It means he's cooking; therefore, he's busy because of it.
