Explain the importance of English language?
Simply English is important because people made it important well, the truth is that English is the easiest language to be learnt(personal opinion ;) ) and the most common language being used to communicate between people from different countries and speak different languages

This is a globalized world, where communication with other parts of the planet is not only possible but also pretty normal. And, in order to communicate, English has become the lingua franca. More and more people learn it, kids learn English at school from early ages, adults start learning it mostly for their jobs... Most jobs require fluent English nowadays.

I've lived all over the world, and even though I have tried to learn how to speak the local languages when I was in another country, I have always had trouble. I found Thai and Korean particularly challenging, and even French -- a Romance language -- was mysterious and unfathomable to me.
I probably never would have made it back to the United States after all of those experiences if I had not met kind people who had taken the time to learn how to speak English (thank you to all of them, by the way!).
As noted by a previous post, English is certainly not a universal language and it has its share of quirks; however, unlike German or French, the spelling and characters are fairly straightforward in English, making it the language of choice for computer programmers.
English is also the language used in air travel; all pilots and air traffic controllers all over the world speak English to each other no matter what their country of origin. No, English may not be a universal language, but it is as close as we have right now (Latin is a close second, but it died...).
