A job seems to have the same meaning as a work. But there are some using differences :
I go to work. (Don't say "I go to job.")
I am searching for a job. (But am I searching for a work ?) So I am unemployed.
Because I lost my job.
Work is often thought as already found. Job can mean I don't have yet it.
Do your job ! = Do what you have to do !
Work can be a verb : to work :
- doing my professsion : I work six days a week.
- studying : You are still working (studying) ! come playing with us !
- being active : it doesn't work, this machine has a problem.
career seems to be a cursus, an increase in the interprise. I often read about the false question : career or family ?
Do we say a artist career ?
First professional is an adjective, which means all about work :
I wanted to do a professional career, but I've become unhappy.
Professional secret has some limits.
Do we say ? he is a pro/professional = he knows perfectly what he does.

No !
I for example heard "the works of Shakespear" = all what he has done.
In my dictionnary, there is a especially great place for :
works : pl n
1. a place where a number of people are employed, as a factory
2. the sum total of a writer's of artist's achievements (esp. when considered together)
3. the deeds of a person (the works of charity
4. the interior parts of the mechanism of a machine (and how it functions)
5. in the works = in preparation
...
Don't hesitate to use and read your dictionnary !

"workship" ? I don't find this word in dictionnary, but I can imagine its meaning. yes, workship could mean functionment (functioning) of work/enterrprise, or more generally any work in group. How does work work ? the answer is the workship.
NB. : I only read the dictionnary. I don't know the real use of these words in spoken english (a bit in written english).
