what does this growing up to bursh mean?

deserted farm growing up to brush , I don't understand the "growing up to brush", is there anybody who know this?

I've never heard that term, but if you can imagine a deserted farm in the country with no one to maintain it then nothing but tall weeds and shrubs (brush) would surround the farm. So, I'd take an educated guess that it just means the farm is neglected.
